The Queen's Head in Hammersmith was the venue for the Networking.London Summer Social. Despite being the middle of August, a time when many are typically away, the event drew a strong turnout of local businesses.

Paul Glynn from Sandler Training gave a talk that sparked a lot of interest. He discussed the concept of an Up Front Contract in the sales process, focusing on how setting clear expectations at the start of a business relationship can lead to better outcomes. His practical advice on communication resonated with both experienced business owners and those new to the field.

It was particularly encouraging to see a number of young people from the local area at the event. They had the chance to meet and speak with business owners and recruiters, gaining insights and making connections that could be valuable for their future careers. For the professionals in attendance, it was an opportunity to engage with the next generation of talent and offer guidance.

During the evening, Alan Rides, CEO of The West London Chamber of Commerce, presented a gift to Molly Clifford, thanking her for a recent article she wrote about him in The HamFul. This gesture highlighted the supportive atmosphere within our network and the importance of recognising each other's contributions.

The event provided a good mix of networking and learning, showing the value of coming together even during the quieter times of the year. We’re looking forward to our next event and hope to see both familiar and new faces there. Networking London turns 3!

Networking London was set up in September 2021, to bring businesses together after Covid and to give opportunities to young people in the Borough. It gave them a forum to meet business owners and build their confidence. This is something we're really proud of.
